Frequently Asked Questions
How does Nutrifarmacy differ from traditional pharmacy practice?
Traditional pharmacy practice focuses on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications to manage diseases and promote health. Nutrifarmacy, on the other hand, emphasizes the use of nutritional interventions and functional supplements in addition to traditional medications. It is a holistic approach to healthcare that takes into account the role of nutrition in disease prevention and management.
What is a holistic health practitioner?
A holistic health practitioner, such as Dr. Hunter Hoeper, is a healthcare professional who takes a holistic approach to healthcare, meaning they consider the whole person – body, mind, and spirit – in their treatment of a patient. Holistic health practitioners may use a variety of modalities in their practice, such as herbal medicine, acupuncture, nutrition, and homeopathy, among others. They aim to treat the root cause of a person’s health issues, rather than just the symptoms, and believe that the body has the ability to heal itself when given the right support. Holistic health practitioners may work in a variety of settings, including private practice, hospitals, and health clinics.
How can your products be used to manage chronic diseases?
Our holistic health products can be used to manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity by using nutritional interventions to help control blood sugar levels, improve lipid profiles, and support weight loss. These interventions may include dietary changes, the use of functional foods and supplements, and the incorporation of physical activity into a patient’s treatment plan.
What is typically included in a holistic health consultation?
A holistic health consultation typically involves a thorough assessment of a person’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The practitioner may ask questions about the person’s medical history, lifestyle, diet, and stress levels, as well as any specific health concerns or issues they are experiencing. The practitioner may also conduct a physical examination and may use various diagnostic tools, such as pulse and tongue analysis in traditional Chinese medicine, to assess the person’s overall health.
Based on the information gathered during the consultation, the practitioner may develop a treatment plan that may include recommendations for lifestyle changes, such as diet and exercise, as well as complementary therapies, such as acupuncture or herbal medicine. The practitioner may also refer the person to other healthcare professionals as needed.
The goal of a holistic health consultation is to help the person achieve optimal health and well-being by addressing the root cause of any health issues and supporting the body’s natural healing processes.
